BHASWATI SARMA Introduction: Dhrupad is the earliest known grammatical basis of Indian Music. Being one of the bearers of HINDU culture, Dhrupad is very ancient and carries traditional style. Hence, it influences other styles of Indian music derived from it or originated later. Dhrupad occupies a significant place in Hindustani Music. This genre of music is essentially unique while unfurling a Ra̅ga in its authentic style or presenting it keeping its feeling intact throughout. Dhrupad can also be defined as an image or reflection of ancient “Jatigaan” and “Chandaga̅na” or “Prabandhaga̅na”. Historically reporting, this style has evolved from “Dhruba̅ Prabandha” of “Prabandhaga̅na”. According to some scholars, the musical background of dhrupad is traceable back to the Vedas themselves. নূর নবী মিরণ ১ আমাদের দেশে বাচিক কাজের প্রয়োজনে গলা সাধার বিষয়ে বিভিন্ন জনের বিভিন্ন মত। বাচিক কাজ বলতে আমি যেটা বুঝাতে চাচ্ছি তা হচ্ছে গান করা, অভিনয় করা, আবৃত্তি করা ইত্যাদি যেকোনো ধরনের কাজ যাতে কথা বলার সম্পৃক্ততা আছে এমন কাজের কথা বোঝাবার চেষ্টা করছি। এইসব কাজের ব্যবহারিক প্রক্রিয়ায় ঢোকার পর দেখতে পেলাম প্রত্যেকটা মাধ্যমের ক্ষেত্রে মাধ্যমের সাথে যারা সম্পৃক্ত, যারা যুক্ত, যারা মাধ্যম নিয়ে ভাবেন, ভিন্ন ভিন্ন মাধ্যম নিয়ে ভাবেন, কাজ করেন যেমন – গান, কবিতা, অভিনয় এইসব মাধ্যমে যারা কাজ করেন তাদের একটা ধারণা হলো গলার সাধার ক্ষেত্রে অর্থাৎ ভয়েস ট্রেনিং-এর বেলায় প্রত্যেকটা মাধ্যম অনুযায়ী আলাদা আলাদা ট্রেনিং প্রক্রিয়া হওয়া প্রয়োজন। গান করা, কবিতা পড়া, অভিনয় করা, অনুষ্ঠান উপস্থাপনা করা বা সংবাদ পাঠ করা ইত্যাদি বাচিক কাজগুলোর গোড়ার দিকে আমাদের নজর দেয়া দরকার। এসব বাচিক কাজের গোড়ার দিকে নিগুঢ় ভাবে তাকালে দেখা যাবে প্রত্যেকটি বিষয়ের ক্ষেত্রে কথা বলাটা মূলভিত্তি। বিষয়টিকে অন্যভাবে বললে দেখা যায় উল্লেখিত বিষয়গুলোর মূল কাজ হলো কথা বলা। এই Read More …

ড. বিশ্বজিৎ মণ্ডল  বহুরূপীর বাংলা থিয়েটারের সঙ্গে কুমার রায়ের সম্পর্ক শৈশব থেকে। এই দীর্ঘদিনের অভিজ্ঞতায় বাংলা থিয়েটারের আঙ্গিনায় মঞ্চ, পোষাক, সঙ্গীত পরিবেশনা প্রভৃতি সর্ব ক্ষেত্রে নিজেকে সঁপে দিয়েছিলেন। তার কর্মের মধ্যে বৈচিত্রের স্বাদ পাওয়া যায়। এর প্রস্তুতিকাল খুব ছোটবেলা থেকে শুরু হয়েছিল। আধুনিকতার ছোঁয়া সর্বসময় সাধারণ স্রোতের উল্টোমুখে হাঁটে। প্রত্যেক যুগেই আধুনিকরা আসে এবং তারা সবসময় চলমান থাকে, এই চলমানতা পুরোনো কর্ম ঝেড়ে ফেলে নতুন কর্মের দিকে এগিয়ে যায়। কুমার ঠিক তারই একজন অগ্রদূত। তিনি কখনও পুরোনোকে আঁকড়ে ধরে থাকতে চাইতেন না। একটা চিন্তার পেছনে তাঁর আর একটা চিন্তা কাজ করতো। মঞ্চ,পোষাক,অভিনয়ের মধ্যে দিয়ে একাত্ম হওয়ার কথা ভাবতেন। সেই ভাবনা থেকেই বিভিন্ন মুহূর্তে নাটকীয় সংঘাত উঠে আসত। তাঁর চিন্তা,চেতনা সবসময় একটা নিজেস্ব মৌলিক কোনো আঙ্গিক প্রতিষ্ঠা করতো। তাঁর কাছে সব থেকে গুরুত্বপূর্ণ এবং প্রাথমিক ব্যাপার ছিলো শিল্প স্বয়ং। মানুষের মধ্যে শিল্পবোধ জাগিয়ে তোলা দর্শকের রুচির দোরগোড়ায় সঠিক বার্তা পৌঁছে দেওয়া নাটকের মূল উদ্দেশ্য। নাটক পরিচালনার মধ্যে বিপুল বৈচিত্র নিয়ে আসা, আধুনিক বুদ্ধিজীবি মননকে তুষ্ট করতে Read More …
